Mirror Mirror on the wall...

A week ago I had the opportunity to shoot a wedding, something I haven’t done in awhile. I don’t really avoid weddings, but I also don’t try and chase them down. It was fun to get back into the swing of photographing such a special event.

This image was captured as I wandered the reception capturing as many various candids as I could see. While scoping out various angles of the reception line, I noticed if I took the right angle, I could catch the bride and groom in the mirror’s reflection above the wedding cake. I camped out my spot for a bit until the moment I was looking for happened. As are most newlyweds, this bride and groom kissed often, so I didn’t have to wait all that long.

The lighting was extremely low at the reception, and with a heavy yellow glow. Most of the images ended up looking better converted to b&w in my judgment.
